As the Caribbean confronts intensifying climate challenges, the CARICOM Secretariat, with the support of the Government of New Zealand, has unveiled a bold new initiative: CARICOM Boost Women and Youth in Agriculture.
This transformative project is designed to strengthen the resilience of the Region’s agri-food systems by empowering women and youth across Member States. By enhancing capacity in the agribusiness sector, CARICOM Boost will advance food security and directly contribute to the Region’s target of reducing the Food Import Bill by 25% by 2030.
With this strategic partnership, CARICOM is not only addressing immediate food security needs but also laying the foundation for long-term sustainability, inclusivity, and prosperity.
Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient Caribbean; one that thrives in the face of climate change and secures a sustainable future for generations to come.
