 Christmas across the Caribbean Community is rich, colourful, and uniquely ours. Show us your story!

📹 Send us a 1-minute video showcasing your unique Christmas tradition for a chance to win a special CARICOM prize pack and be featured on CARICOM’s official platforms.

Competition Rules & Guidelines

CARICOM Christmas Traditions Video Challenge

Competition Period: 21 December 2025 – 6 January 2026
Winner Announced: 15 January 2026

1. Eligibility

1.1 Open to nationals of CARICOM Member States and Associate Members.

1.2 Individuals, families, schools, and community groups may enter.
1.3 Staff of the CARICOM Secretariat and Community Institutions are not eligible to participate.

2. Entry Requirements

2.1 Entries should not exceed 60 seconds.
2.2 Videos must highlightthe magic of Christmas where you live: a tradition from your home, community, or country.
2.3 Themes may include:

  • Food & drink
  • Music & performances
  • Home décor
  • Faith & community celebrations
  • Family and cultural traditions

2.4 To enter, participants must:

  • Post the video on Facebook
  • Tag @CARICOMorg
  • Use the hashtag #CARICOMChristmasTraditions
  • Include their country’s flag emoji in the caption

2.5 Videos must be original content created by the participant(s).


2.6 Only one entry per individual/group is allowed.

3. Content Standards

3.1 Videos should maintain a respectful tone, convey positive messages, and be appropriate for viewers of all ages.
3.2 Videos must not include:

  • Explicit, offensive, or discriminatory material
  • Political messages
  • Copyrighted music or footage (used without permission)

Videos should NOT highlight:

ï‚·  Depictions of harm, unsafe stunts, or promotion of violence.

ï‚·  Promotions for businesses, products, or services.

ï‚·  Content that spreads misinformation or misrepresents traditions.

ï‚·  Personal information, private settings, or individuals without consent.

ï‚· Excessive Alcohol Use or Substance Use which may promote harmful behaviours.

3.3 Entries that do not meet CARICOM’s content standards or align with our core values may be removed or disqualified. See our core values here:https://caricom.org/vision-mission-and-core-values/

4. Judging Criteria

4.1 Judging is based solely on engagement, specifically:

  • Total number of likes on the video post

4.2 The video with the highest number of likes at the end of the campaign period will be declared the winner.
4.3 Engagement will be counted from the moment the video is posted until 6 January 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (GMT-4).
4.4 In the event of a tie, CARICOM will conduct an internal review to determine the winner.

5. Prizes

5.1 The video (with the most likes) wins a special CARICOM gift pack.
5.2 Selected videos may also be featured across CARICOM’s official platforms.

6. Rights & Usage

6.1 Participation in this campaign gives CARICOM permission to share and display videos, with credit.
6.2 Videos may be used for cultural or promotional purposes related to the competition.

7. Important Dates

  • Competition Opens: 20 December 2025
  • Submission Deadline: 6 January 2026
  • Engagement Count Closes: 6 January 2026
  • Winner Announced: 15 January 2026
