TASTE OF CARIFESTA.

Chair person of the CARIFESTA Marketing and Promotions Committee Christine Walwyn says she expects that “vibrations” from the successful “Taste of CARIFESTA” event to be a catalyst that will launch the Caribbean and the world into ten days of a cultural extravaganza called CARIFESTA.

With CNN here to provide coverage, the Sunday afternoon event was organised specifically to provide the rest of the world with a sample of CARIFESTA scheduled for August 17-26.

Ms. Walwyn said the fact that Sunday’s performance was a tiny fraction of what can be expected for CARIFESTA is extremely exciting.

Hundreds of onlookers were mesmerized by the impressive talent of the performers, the professionalism of our models, the standard of locally designed fashions; and the rich aromas of local cuisine.

The credit for the ambience however, was given to the Bird Rock Hotel which offered an excellent atmosphere for the event.

The programme will feature on HOT SPOT a CNN programme that airs on Sundays at 7:30 pm and Thursdays at 6:30 pm Eastern.
