From shaping energy policy and financing innovation to driving community action and youth advocacy, a new generation of Caribbean leaders in the sector is redefining what a sustainable energy future looks like.
Eight women and two young men were recently recognised at the CARICOM Women in Sustainable Energy (WISE) and Sustainable Energy Youth Awards (SEYA) for 2024 and 2025, trailblazers whose stories, perspectives, and ambitions offer a powerful glimpse into the future of energy across the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
In exclusive interviews with the CARICOM Secretariat’s Communications Unit, six of the honourees who were in Guyana for the awards ceremony during CARICOM Energy Month 2025 in November share their background, outlook, and vision for a more resilient energy future for CARICOM.
