CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett, today, honoured the memory of the Honourable Roderick Rainford, CCH, OJ, OCC, who served as Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community from 1983 to 1992. Mr Rainford, who also served as the Deputy Secretary-General, passed away on Saturday, 4 April.
Dr Barnett led the activity, followed by other members of staff, in paying respects to one of the Community’s distinguished leaders.
As part of the tribute, the Secretariat produced a video highlighting the distinguished regionalist’s years of service and his pivotal role in advancing the vision of a united Caribbean.
