Highlights | CARICOM Chair’s New Year Message

CARICOM Chair, Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, delivered an inspiring New Year’s message to usher in 2026. In his address, Dr Drew emphasised unity, resilience, and renewed hope for the future.

He acknowledged the leadership of outgoing Chair, Prime Minister Andrew Holness of Jamaica, and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing CARICOM’s mission of regional integration, cooperation, and global advocacy. Dr Drew highlighted the Community’s achievements in trade, health, education, disaster response, and culture, while underscoring the importance of solidarity in addressing challenges such as climate change, geopolitical tensions, and Haiti’s ongoing recovery.

As CARICOM prepares for its Fiftieth Regular Meeting in February 2026, Dr Drew called on leaders and citizens alike to move forward with shared purpose, confidence, and faith in the Caribbean project. His message was clear: Together, we will strengthen CARICOM, protect it, and secure the future of our Caribbean civilization.
