Trinidad and Tobago remains vested partner in CARICOM – PM Persad-Bissessar

The Hon. Kamla Persad-Bissessar S.C., has reaffirmed Trinidad and Tobago’s commitment to remain a vested partner in the work of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

In remarks at the opening of the 50th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the CARICOM in St. Kitts and Nevis on 24 February 2025, the Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister said: “We will work with CARICOM; we are vested in CARICOM, we’ve been there from day one and we are going to be there … CARICOM is very vital.”

The Prime Minister reiterated her country’s support for the restoration of order and peace in sister CARICOM Member State, Haiti.
