Supply, Delivery and Installation of a Baggage Scanner at the Guyana Prison Service

This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. IDB990-07/16 of July 26, 2016.
The Government of Guyana has received financing from the Inter‐American Development Bank toward the cost of the Citizen Security Strengthening Programme, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Goods – Supply, Delivery and Installation of a Baggage Scanner at the Guyana Prison Service.
The PEU of the Citizen Security Strengthening Programme now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Procurement of Goods – Supply, Delivery and Installation of a Baggage Scanner at the Guyana Prison Service.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the Inter‐American Development Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods GN-2349-9 and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Policies.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Procurement Officer, Citizen Security Strengthening Programme, Ministry of Public Security or by email at procurement.cssp@gmail.com, and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 09:00 hrs. to 15:00 hrs. Monday to Friday.
Qualification requirements include (but are not limited to) NIS and GRA Compliances (for Bidders registered in Guyana), Valid Business and VAT Registration (where applicable), experience, financial and technical capacity. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be uplifted by interested bidders on the submission from the address below (a).
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of GYD$200,000.00 Guyana dollars or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
Bids must be delivered to the address below (b) on or before Tuesday May 28, 2019 at 09:00 hrs. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 09:00 hrs. at the address below (b) in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below (b).
