Description of the assignment

The project will utilize the services of a consultant to provide training on the establishment of structured/coordinated After School Activity Clubs i.e. the Champions for Change Clubs in schools and communities across the five (5) targeted member states: Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Suriname. The participants will include educators, CSOs and FBOs, formal and informal community leaders. It is expected that no less than 30 participants will receive the training per country. The consultant is required to:

– Review and analyse previous reports of implemented Champions for Change Clubs to note best practices, lessons learnt and avoid duplication of efforts
– Identify topics to be covered in the After School Activity Club development workshop. Core topics to be included community mobilization, people management, resource management and sustainability.
– Develop/adapt content for the topics identified and indicate the methodology(ies) for delivery
– Develop trainer of trainers manual in English with translated copies in French and Dutch
– Conduct pre- and post- training evaluation via means deemed most conducive  
– Deliver the training
– Submit a draft report with lessons learnt and recommendations for review by the project team and Technical Working Group
– Submit a final report incorporating suggestions/recommendations from the project team and Technical Working Group
