Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified nationals of the Caribbean Community Member States to fill the abovementioned position in the CARICOM Private Sector Technical Secretariat with assigned duty station in Barbados.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The Caribbean Private Sector Organization (CPSO) was established to contribute to the acceleration and the implementation of the Caribbean Single Market Economy (CSME) and represent the interest of private sector organizations from the CARICOM Countries. The CPSO is to be a driving force that supports the CARICOM Heads of Government to fully implement the CSME within five years and is expected to contribute to the reduction of the “implementation deficit” relating to the decisions and actions on the CSME.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

The Senior Programme Coordinator/Technical Coordinator provides general oversight of the daily operations of the CPSO Technical Secretariat.

The Senior Programme Coordinator will coordinate the technical work of the Professionals engaged in the various pillars in which the CPSO will have competence. The Senior Programme Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Work Programme in all its dimensions (technical analysis, coordination, outreach, stakeholder engagement, consensus building.)

The incumbent will also be focused on: building the Membership of the CPSO; processing and onboarding of new members; continued communication with the membership on the activities and plans of the CPSO and providing support to ensure all obligations to the Council and membership, and Human Resource needs of the CPSO are met.
