Details of the Post

Responsible for developing tests, evaluation procedures and instruments to measure performance and achievement of students in the Caribbean; ensuring the development and maintenance of item banks for assigned subjects; providing technical and administrative support to committees that prepare syllabuses and tests for CXC’s examinations; conducting research in measurement and other related areas; and providing technical assistance to institutions and member countries.

What you’ll do:

• Tests, evaluation procedures and instruments to measure performance and achievement in students in the Caribbean.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of item banks for assigned subjects.
• Provide technical and administrative support to committees that prepare syllabuses and tests for CXC’s
• Conduct research in measurement and other related areas.
• Provide technical assistance to institutions and member countries.

What we’re looking for:

• A first degree from a recognized university
• Post-graduate degree in Educational Testing, Measurement and Evaluation or Curriculum with Measurement
• Post-graduate qualifications in statistics would be an advantage
• At least three years’ experience in teaching and assessment at the secondary or tertiary level
• At least three years’ experience at a senior level in education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
