Location: Barbados

The UN Volunteers (UNV) programme is looking for a strategic and driven Country Coordinator to lead volunteer mobilization and partnerships across a Multi-Country Field Unit in the Caribbean. This role is central to positioning volunteerism as a key solution within the UN system—supporting peace, development, and humanitarian efforts. You will collaborate with UN agencies, governments, and partners to align talent with programmatic needs, while ensuring strong operational delivery and an impactful volunteer experience.

What you’ll drive day-to-day

  • Lead volunteer mobilization strategies aligned with UN priorities and partner demand
  • Position UNV as a key service provider within UN country teams
  • Build and manage partnerships across UN agencies, governments, and stakeholders
  • Track KPIs and mobilization trends using CRM/BI tools
  • Ensure duty of care, safety, and well-being of UN Volunteers
  • Promote Online Volunteering and innovative engagement approaches
  • Strengthen advocacy, communications, and visibility of volunteer impact
  • Coordinate team performance, planning, and budget management

 Apply if you bring:

  • Master’s (2 yrs exp.) or Bachelor’s (4 yrs exp.) in relevant fields
  • Experience in partnerships, programme coordination, or stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of development contexts and/or UN system (desirable)
  • Experience in communications, M&E, or digital tools (CRM/ERP) is an asset
  • Fluency in English + local language of duty station
  • Strong leadership, adaptability, and systems-thinking skills
