Call for Proposals – Innovation Grants
Purpose of the call
Despite regional advances, in the Caribbean’s HIV response key populations (KPs) — including sex workers, men who have sex with men (MSM), trans people, migrants, people who use drugs, and people in prisons, — still face persistent barriers such as stigma, discrimination, criminalization, gender-based violence, and fear of accessing public services. These barriers reduce access to HIV testing, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis/Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP/PEP), comprehensive prevention, and timely linkage to care.
Community-led innovations have been proven to be a critical driver of progress across the region, especially in HIV prevention and addressing human rights and gender-related barriers to service access. With funding from the The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, CVC and COIN along with PANCAP are implementing the “Catalyzing Innovation for HIV Prevention in the Caribbean: A Multi-Country Grant for Equitable and Sustainable Access” project.
The Innovation Grants will support practical, locally led solutions that respond to real implementation challenges — transforming ideas into evidence-driven models for national scale-up. These grants operate under a Result-Based Contracting (RBC1) modality, ensuring greater accountability and freeing organizations to focus on achieving results, rather than paperwork.
Projects must include direct service delivery and demonstrate measurable change in improved access for KPs.
