Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the post of Accounts Assistant within the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, Headquarters, Castries, Saint Lucia.
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE : Accounts Assistant
REPORTS TO : Financial Controller
CLASSIFICATION : SASP-9
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will be required to:
- Review and verify all deposits for correct bank allocation and reconcile bank accounts.
- Reconcile Accounts Payables and Receivables.
- Process and post invoices.
- Process and post other payments.
- Assist and participate in annual audits.
Perform any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Financial Controller.
Additional duties
- Reconcile Vat accounts and process VAT refunds.
- E-Litigation and E-Filing Processing (posting of receipts and updating reports).
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Prepare the calculations of per diem for Judicial Officers.

This position requires an Associate’s Degree in Accounts /Level I ACCA. Applicants should also have specialized training in and working knowledge of Peachtree plus and a minimum of three [3] years relevant work experience in a similar environment.
