Dear colleagues in the media,
The 47th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will now be held from 28 -30 July in St George’s, Grenada.
Grenada is hosting the Conference in the year of its 50th anniversary of independence. This meeting of the Conference is also being held 35 years since the signing of the Grand Anse Declaration, which set in motion CARICOM’s transition to a single market and economy and other critical matters.
Kindly note the following details:
Media Accreditation
All applications for accreditation which were received by the previous deadline of 26 June 2024, remain valid.

A Briefing for the media is proposed for Saturday 27 July. Additional details will be communicated in a subsequent advisory.
28 July
Evening (TBD): Opening Ceremony, St George’s University
This Ceremony will include addresses by the CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr Carla Barnett; Outgoing Chairman of CARICOM, H.E. Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali; Incoming Chairman of CARICOM, Hon. Dickon Mitchell; and the Admission of Curacao as Associate Member.
