Shard Noel is a big champion of the CARICOM Boost: Women and Youth in Agriculture Project, a transformative initiative aimed at strengthening food security and empowering key stakeholders across CARICOM Member States.
For this Grenadian agribusiness owner and manager, BOOST is more than a programme; it is a pathway to opportunity, resilience, and transformation. Shard believes this initiative will open doors for women and youth, empowering them to take their place in agribusiness while strengthening food security for Grenada and the wider Region.
“BOOST is coming, so our women and youth, please get on board. Let’s till the soil some more,” stated Shard.
His vision is already taking shape. With new cold storage facilities and shade houses provided by BOOST, farmers can access the tools they need to thrive in a changing climate and market. These investments are not only about technology. They represent long-term sustainability, better harvests, and a stronger future for Grenada’s agricultural community.
Shard is calling on more young people and women to step boldly into agribusiness, to innovate, and to lead. His rallying cry is clear: agribusiness is not only about farming. It is about building livelihoods, driving regional progress, and contributing to Vision 25 by 2025+5.
His message is inspiring:
“The future of food security is bright, full of possibility, and it belongs to all of the Caribbean. Together, we can build it.”
BOOST is a collaborative effort of the Government of New Zealand and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat.
