CARICOM Chairman, President Jovenel Moise of Haiti, will address the Opening Session of the 29th Inter-sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government at the Marriott Hotel, Port-au-Prince, on Monday 26 February at 9:00 a.m. (10:00 a.m. ECT).
Immediate-past Chairman, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell of Grenada and CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque will also deliver remarks.
Heads will then deliberate on a range of pressing issues for the Caribbean Community, including building a climate-resilient Region following the devastation of the 2017 hurricane season, regional security, the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), regional transportation, the tourism industry, and the challenges from the blacklisting actions and de-risking strategies of more developed countries and global banks.
