(CARIFORUM Directorate, CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) – This special video feature highlights the National CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Coordinator Attachment Programme, an initiative managed by the CARIFORUM Directorate and funded by the European Union (EU) through its Technical Cooperation Facility. The programme is designed to strengthen regional trade capacity and foster deeper cooperation among CARIFORUM States.
Mr. Julton Wagner, a Trade Economist from Belize, recently completed his attachment under the programme. In this video, he shares how the initiative empowers trade officials to support the implementation of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA and reflects on the value of regional collaboration in advancing its goals.
Signed in 2008 by 14 CARIFORUM States and the European Union, the EPA aims to enhance trade and investment relations while promoting regional integration. The CARIFORUM Directorate at the CARICOM Secretariat leads coordination efforts to support Member States in implementing the Agreement.
