Special circumstances of Small Island Developing States must be reflected in final COP21 Agreement – CARICOM SG in Paris

CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque says recent severe weather events have signaled that the Caribbean region is already being impacted by climate change and the Region is taking the current negotiations in Paris for a binding agreement on climate action very seriously.

CARICOM Leaders and negotiators have joined their global counterparts in Paris for the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework on Climate Change, 30 November – 11 December 2015.

The CARICOM SG spoke about CARICOM’s concerns and expectations in this interview with Desmond Browne of the Caribbean News Service and the Caribbean COP21 Media Group.
