The CARIBBEAN PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCY has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the OECS Regional Health Project (P168539), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for two Lots:

(i) System for liquid culture TB identification and Drug Susceptibility testing

(ii) Equipment based on Maldi-TOFF Mass Spectrometry Bacterial ID system

The CARIBBEAN PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCY now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for:

(i) System for liquid culture TB identification and Drug Susceptibility testing

(ii) Equipment based on Maldi-TOFF Mass Spectrometry Bacterial ID system

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” published July 2016, revised in August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:00am to 4:00pm at the address given below.

Interested eligible firms can access the Request for Bid in the attachment below.  

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, bidders may submit bids electronically in the form of an encrypted or password protected document to tenders@carpha.org.  In case of encrypted bids, the bidder should indicate that the chairperson of the CARPHA Tender Board may open the bid and the password key for opening the bid. Bids cannot be opened before the time of bid submission and opening. The password key for password protected bids must be sent within one hour before the bid submission deadline to tenders@carpa.org. Bids submission are made via PDF format only and submitted as one document with a size limit of 25mb. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend via zoom meeting.  Bidders may witness the bid opening via video conferencing (zoom or similar platform. The link to the online meeting will be provided to the bidders).

The deadline for Bid submission is April 9th, 2021 1:30 p.m. eastern time.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration
