Consultancy Service to provide Training on Community Engagement and Cooperation for the Guyana Police Force (GPF)

The Government of Guyana has received financing from the Inter‐American Development Bank towards the cost of the Citizen Security Strengthening Programme (CSSP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Consultancy Services – To provide Training on Community Engagement and Cooperation for the Guyana Police Force (GPF).

 

The consultancy services (herein after referred to as “the Services”) include, inter alia, supporting the Guyana Police Force in developing a comprehensive training modules that address skills necessary to enable the GPF to develop essential cooperation and efficient engagements with Communities.

 

The Project Execution Unit (PEU) of the CSSP now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required relevant qualifications and experience to perform the services.

 

The Consultant should have a Master’s Degree preferably in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Education, Sociology, Public Safety and Security, Public Policy with a minimum of seven (7) years professional level work experience in the area of social development, crime prevention and evaluating social programs, Public  Policy or a related field.

 

The following should be included in their CVs:

  1. Relevant details (inclusive of Education. Experience, References)
  2. Links to relevant samples of work from three (3) recent clients.
  3. Brief Methodology (not more than 3 pages)

 

Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-9 and is open to all eligible Consultants as defined in the policies. Specifically, for this consultancy, selection will be in accordance with the principles of Comparison based on Qualification of National Individual Consultants (QCNI) method.
