No Iron Day Kicks off Across the Region!
On Friday 7 November, Member States, Associate Members, CARICOM Secretariat and partners kicked off the first instalment of the #NoIronDay campaign, as part of the CARICOM Energy Month 2025. No Iron Day seeks to encourage people of our Region to conserve electricity by not using their irons on Friday 7, 14, 21 & 28 November.
In a video message, CARICOM Deputy Secretary-General, Dr Armstrong Alexis shares why taking small, collective steps toward building a more energy-efficient Caribbean, is important.
Why It Matters:
• Save energy: Reduce electricity consumption
• Cut emissions: Support national and regional climate goals
• Build habits: Foster a culture of practical, everyday energy efficiency
