BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – The Barbados-based Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) says it will hold its 44th annual general assembly in Guyana next month. It said the August 19 – 23 assembly will be attended by broadcast executives, industry partners and media specialists where they will discuss issues of digital transition, the business of broadcasting, public service broadcasting, new and traditional media and other relevant topics influencing the broadcasting environment. President Donald Ramotar will deliver the feature address at the opening ceremony of the conference that will also allow for suppliers to exhibit their services and a special screening session, where newly produced content will be shown to broadcasters.
