Period of validity
The CARICOM Special Visa is valid for entry into the CARICOM Single Domestic Space from 1 February 2007-15 May 2007.
Countries comprising the Single Domestic Space which will accept the CARICOM SPECIAL VISA:
Antigua and Barbuda Jamaica Barbados St. Kitts and Nevis Dominica Saint Lucia Grenada St. Vincent and the Grenadines Guyana Trinidad and Tobago
Who needs a CARICOM Special Visa
Nationals of all countries with the EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING will be required to obtain visas for entry into the countries comprising the CARICOM Single Domestic Space:
i. CARICOM Member States and Associate Member States (Except Haiti)
ii. Canada
iii. France and its Overseas Countries and Territories
iv. Germany
v. Ireland
vi. Italy
vii. Japan
viii. The Netherlands and its Overseas Countries and Territories
ix. United Kingdom and its Dependent Territories
x. South Africa
xi. Spain
xii. United States of America and its Dependent Territories
All visitors requiring the CARICOM Special Visa are urged to apply for the visa as soon as possible from the nearest issuing sites which are listed below.
EXEMPTIONS
Air to Sea and Sea to Air Transfers and Cruise Ship passengers arriving in port and moving directly from one terminal to the other will not require the CARICOM Special Visa.
Nationals of countries who would normally need visas but who already enjoy a form of legal status valid on 1st February 2007 conferred by any of the relevant governmental authorities of the ten (10) countries which form the Single Domestic Space WILL NOT require a CARICOM Special Visa.
Examples include:
1. Accredited Diplomats
2. Permanent Residents
3. Persons holding Immigrant Status
4. Holders of Student Visa
5. Persons with Permission to Reside and Work
6. Holders of Work Permits
7. Persons permitted entry prior to 1 February 2007, for example tourists and business persons
The following categories will be issued the Special Entry Permit:
1. Diplomats to be accredited
2. Government Officials and persons providing technical assistance to Member States;
3. Representatives of International and Regional Organisations
STUDENT VISA AND WORK PERMIT
A CARICOM Special Visa does not permit a person to work or study. Persons requiring a work permit or student visa should apply directly to the competent authorities in the relevant Member State. Work Permit or Student Visas must be issued for a minimum period of six months during this timeframe.
EXEMPTION FROM PAYMENT
The visa fee of US$100 or Euro 80 will be waived for the following:
1) Children 12 and under;
2) Non-accredited diplomats or persons traveling on diplomatic or official passports;
3) Teams, Officials, Media and Sponsors and their spouses and Children;
4) Cuban Nationals; and
5) Seamen and airline crew entering to join vessels/aircraft.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
No pets will be allowed for travel within the Single Domestic Space . If pets are brought to any port of entry, national legislation would be applied in relation to entry of animals.
WITH RESPECT TO CRUISE SHIPS AND FLOATING HOTELS:
CRUISE SHIPS–
If a sea vessel is in port for less than 24 hours, then a CARICOM Day Pass will be issued to passengers who come ashore;
Each port in a country is treated separately for the purpose of the computation of time.
FLOATING HOTELS-
A Floating Hotel is a sea vessel that is in the Region to provide support to Cricket World Cup in the provision of accommodation regardless of whether the vessel will be in any one Member State Port for the duration or have an itinerary.
Passengers on a floating hotel will require the CARICOM Special Visa according to the rules of Nationality and must apply for it.
WITH RESPECT TO YACHTS
i. Yachts must submit Advance Passenger Information System before arrival in a Port in the Single Domestic Space. This must be submitted 24 hours before arrival if the yacht’s last port of entry was outside the Single Domestic Space and one hour if it was within the Single Domestic Space;
ii. Yachts must submit notice of arrival on Channel 16;
iii. Yachts will be advised to report to an official port of entry for clearance by Immigration, Customs and Port Health;
iv. All persons arriving on board a yacht must submit their passport and E/D Cards and follow the instructions of the immigration officer at the port of entry;
v. Any person who arrives without a CARICOM Special Visa must complete an Application Form which will be considered by the Immigration Authorities. If there are no matches or irregularities with the Passport, a Special Entry Permit is affixed to the Passport. US$100 processing and permit fee is payable prior to the Special Permit being affixed to the travel document.
DIPLOMATS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDERS WHO ARE NATIONALS OF COUNTRIES REQUIRING THE CARICOM SPECIAL VISA
1. DULY ACCREDITED DIPLOMATS who are nationals of countries requiring the CARICOM Special Visa with recognized status as at 1 February 2007 whether Resident or Non Resident ARE EXEMPT from the visa
2. DIPLOMATS being transferred after 1 February 2007 to countries within the Single Domestic Space will be granted a SPECIAL ENTRY PERMIT. (GRATIS)
3. Persons attending Meetings in an official capacity and who are holders of DIPLOMATIC OR OFFICIAL PASSPORTS, OR LAISSEZ PASSER from recognised International Organisations will be granted a SPECIAL ENTRY PERMIT. (GRATIS)
4. Persons providing Technical Assistance and Consultants under Inter-Governmental Agreements and International and Regional Organisations will be granted a SPECIAL ENTRY PERMIT. (GRATIS)
