Belmopan, Belize Monday 21 October 2024 – The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) has unveiled a fresh new logo, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in its journey to strengthen the resilience of the Caribbean in the face of climate change. While the CCCCC’s visual identity has been refreshed, its unwavering commitment to supporting CARICOM Member States in tackling climate challenges remains the same.
The revamped logo symbolises the CCCCC’s dynamic and progressive approach to addressing the climate crisis. It reflects renewed energy, innovation, and focus as the CCCCC continues to lead efforts in climate change mitigation and adaptation across the Caribbean.
“Our core mission remains unchanged. We are here to empower our Member States through science-based data-driven climate solutions, capacity building, and policy guidance,” said Danelle De Coteau-Campbell, Lead Communications Specialist at CCCCC.
“The new logo represents a fresh chapter in our journey, it embodies our commitment to innovative, decisive action as we address the region’s most urgent environmental challenges.”
Chair of the Board of Directors for the CCCCC, Dr. Kenrick Williams, in his remarks, shared, “The rebranding we celebrate today is a testament to the CCCCC’s ability to adapt, innovate, and lead — in the global climate arena. In reference to the new logo, he added that it embodies a stronger, more vibrant institution that remains at the forefront of Caribbean resilience efforts. “We believe that this new look will not only inspire us, but also strengthen the CCCCC’s influence, galvanising further investment and support from both regional and international partners.” Dr. Wiliams shared.
Since its establishment, the CCCCC has been at the forefront of regional efforts to reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience in CARICOM countries. This rebranding comes at a pivotal time, when addressing climate change has never been more critical for the Region’s future.
Colin Young, PhD, Executive Director of CCCCC, in his feature address, highlighted the organisation’s growth and development over its nineteen years of existence. He stated that CCCCC has made significant contributions to improving the flow, speed, and scale of climate finance in the region. Reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to the Region he stated:
“We will continue to work with regional institutions and our partners to deliver our mandate and we will continue to assist member states of the community to mobilise climate finance to improve the resiliency of people to the adverse effects of climate
change.”
The unveiling of the new logo marks a significant milestone and another step in the CCCCC’s evolution, he stated, adding that it is more than just a fresh look but a renewed commitment to our vision of building a resilient and sustainable Caribbean region for all.
The CCCCC remains at the forefront of the battle against climate change, ensuring that CARICOM nations have the resources, data, and support to adapt effectively.
