(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque on Thursday accepted the Letter of Credence of His Excellency William Joseph, the new Ambassador of Grenada to CARICOM.
Mr. Joseph comes into the fold of Ambassadors accredited to CARICOM with a distinguished career in public administration, and an educational profile decorated with a LLB (Hon) from the University of Huddersfield; Post Graduate Diploma (Hon), Public Administration and Law, University of the West Indies; Post Graduate Diploma (Dist), Development Administration, University of Manchester; and a Diploma, International Relations.
The Ambassador’s career in public administration spawned the period 1986 to 2010, beginning as the Head, Policy Research, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Grenada in 1986 and moving through to ranks of political office to Permanent Secretary for Grenada’s Miniseries of Labour; Tourism, Civil Aviation and Cooperatives; Agriculture, Land, Forestry and Fisheries; and Foreign Affairs.
Mr Joseph replaces Dr. Wayne Sandiford as Grenada’s Ambassador to CARICOM.
